We are still in Port Lockroy (S 64 49,7 W 63 29,6). Yesterday was beautiful with glacier skiing, but today its blowing SE 30/35 kts, barometer 962 mb and snowing.
As I might have told you, our plan is to depart from Melchior Island (S 64 19,6 W 62 55,1) about 45 nm from here. This has been recommendet to us, as it is further west than Deception island, although it makes the crossing somewhat longer.
We eagerly follow the weather development.
