Motorseiling mot Pt. Deseado

Hi Fritz,
It's Sunday 2100 UTC. Wind 15/20 kts from NNE. We have had a good day, and are now motorsailing heading due north. Rather than slowing down we are going full speed and hoping to get to Pt Deseado in time, and stay there  during the wind at Cabo Blanco on Tuesday. Then we can leave on Wed again. I hope this will work.

Good to hear all went well so far. It still looks like a bumpy ride.

Closer to the coast it looks a lot calmer! So don't hesitate to stay near the coastline.

Tuesday 6 march there is a NW 25-30 kts wind at Cabo Blanco so don't hurry!!!! Ideal would to pass the cap after wednesday 7 march 00 utc, at that time wind is down to 20 kts.
Wednesday 7 march NW-WNW 2O kts to W 20 kts
Thursday 8 march: S 20 kt to E 15 kts and later NE 20 kts.

Something to keep an eye is the situation on Friday 9 march; a front is
passing from west to east with heavy rain and showers, N-NNE 25 kts going
to NNE 30 kts.

If it stays like that it should be better to seek shelter! I will keep
you posted. From Sat 10 march: S 25 kts later S 20 kts.
